I watched the interview yesterday. McConnell was very careful with his words.
I understood him to mean that he will hold the threat of the nuclear option over the democrats’s heads. He expects them to go along with Trump’s Court nominees.
He’s bluffing, but he’s holding the best hand.
That’s the way I see it too.
It may not be needed, so it’s not appropriate to show that weapon when it may not be needed. But he let it be known the weapon is in his closet.
That’s why I said ‘reevaluate’ and not congratulate. It remains to be seen, but he made it absolutely clear “The nominee will be confirmed”.
