Larry you may believe in that failed system/policy of de industrialization like a religious zealot, but the American people do not. I hope you get no where near this administration.
Seriously. He and John Stossel drive me nuts saying it is just fine that ‘hot sweaty factory work’ be done by other countries’ kids. “Who wants their kids working in factories, after all ?”
I personally would go so far as limiting imports to 20% of the market for EVERY item sold in America, including components, via auctions on “import licenses”. Require at least 80% of everything be manufactured HERE, unless the market is very small like caviar or supercars. Rather than tariffs that do not guarantee return of industries but simply raise prices, I would have companies bid on that 20% marketshare of “import licenses”.
Larry is a good man whom Trump would be lucky to have in the administration.
He is for fair trade with any tariffs simply a threat or punishment for specific violations of fair trade agreements.
And so it should be. Where Larry and Moore are off is illegal immigration, but that is not what they are being looked to for expertise.
Moore is a bit more of an Establishment thinker.
