update on mall shooting - police chief newsconference. Mall closed, still looking for other robbery suspect. One suspect in hospital.

From source: The shooting suspect was transported to SAMC in critical condition. A male and female shooting victim were also transported to SAMC. A woman suffered a heart attack at the scene and another woman went into labor.

Sad. The good Samaritan may have saved other lives.

The Mall of Memphis. Know about that all too well. Oak Court Mall and Wolfchase Galleria are going that way unless someone puts their foot down and changes the way things are done there. Quit being a babysitter. Things don’t end well when that is the case.

I had to look that one up. Mostly a bygone area now. A friend of mine and I were walking in a mall several years ago - he was from a liberal area of town. He was jumping out of the way of a pair of total strangers for no reason. Yanked me. I’m like, “calm down”. I had no idea he was that jumpy.

Oak Court was my favorite until the crime there closed down shops & like I said, it’s not worth it. The Collierville outdoor mall is wonderful. When it’s raining.....many less people ; )

It’s happening in Portland Oregon too...people are dining in the burbs...avoiding a lot of downtown time...sad because Portland used to be a very safe and comfortable city.
