“My beautiful, brilliant, thoughtful niece came into town for the Women’s March on Washington yesterday to protest Mr. Trump’s ascension to power. And in favor of a certain political agenda, with which I happen to disagree in large measure, I rejoice at her action. Because good, caring people getting engaged in politics are anything but our country’s political problem.”

Well said. One of my sons and my nephew were at the marches. I know that they were there for honorable reasons. They are gentle peace loving souls and I pray for those souls daily. I know that they did not wear p**sy hats and that they did not swear allegiance to PP. I know because I asked and my son at least said he wouldn’t.

It is what it is.

One of my childhood best friends stayed with me as well. I hadn’t seen her in 20 years. She’s pro-life. I love her.
