The guy they were looking for was a 50-year old Asian guy with a yellow jacket. Of course it might have been a yellow hat. And the bolo may have been completly wrong.
Would you be able to post a link to that video. Was it on youtube? In Seattle you can use deadly force to stop someone from attacking another person - it doesn’t just have to be for SELF defense. Although I do wonder if the shooter will face charges for having a firearm on the University. Although that comes under the heading of “I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6”
At my son’s college there was a shooter several years ago. A student took him down after he had killed another student using pepper spray and then tackled him. The student was not supposed to have pepper spray on campus, but that was never brought up - and he was praised as a hero, which of course he was. Hopefully it will be the same here if the shooting was justified, which it sounds like it probably is.
Here's your video of the guy in the yellow hat. I'm not sure that is the shooting or not. Seems odd that right after yellow hat moves in and there is that “pop”, that area is clear of anybody really quick, and the anarchists move through with that big sign.
I would think that somebody shot in the abdomen with critical wounds would still have been there. I might be wrong though.
But - it definitely wasn't a peaceful protest.
“Police are searching for a roughly 50-year-old man who they believe was the gunman in Friday nights shooting.
According to a University of Washington alert, investigators are looking for an Asian who is 5-foot-7, 190 pounds, without facial hair. They say he was last seen wearing glasses, a yellow Champion baseball cap, a black leather jacket and possibly a maroon shirt.”
My apologies. If this is in fact the shooter, the video you mentioned is no doubt the incident. I imagine that the police have all the video they need and eyewitnesses to piece together the story.
However, if the shooting was justified, there will probably be no more detailed reporting on the incident. Although hopefully it will get a mention in the back of the NRA magazine in the “Armed Citizen” section.
Do you have a link to the video?
