Fox talking heads lost focus.
Obama’s was like a new circus act down freak show alley. People were drawn to it because it was different with the first black POTUS. Once he was sworn in, they tuned out.
Everyone I know has had their tv or youtube going for 48 hours straight with Trump.
Yup, didn’t have to listen to left wing drivel on C- Span.
“And actually, Trump might have been seen by more viewers than either Obama or Reagan. Nielsen ratings do not account for online viewing...”
It would most likely be a safe bet that if online viewers had been included in this ratings analysis that Trump’s inauguration would trump all others. As others have already stated, millions of people have justifiably quit watching events through the filters of the Ministry of Propaganda, in favor of viewing the unadulterated, raw, truth, in real time, offered by so many online sources anymore.
I’d rather watch a nasty car wreck occur in front of me in slow motion than watch Obama talk, let alone his inauguration.
Dude! I come to Free Republic specifically so I don’t have to see the likes of any of those idiots at CNN, AND because Free Republic, up until very recently, wasn’t laden with inane, bandwidth hogging, data plan devouring, idiotic video clips, in place of the intelligent and witty commentary this website has a reputation for.
Yep. Millenials stare at their laptops/iphones. My son doesn’t even own a television.
It’s ultimately irrelvant as how he performs as Pres is the only thing that truly matters to the masses: He/his team should keep that in mind and keep their eye on the ball instead of focusing on this petty, press baiting BS.
In fairness to EW which is a liberal rag, did mention the online streaming numbers, that most likely meant the viewers for Trump’s inauguration was highest of all time.
Wife and I watched Fox coverage all day.
Really enjoyed the broadcast.
They also had Obama’s inauguration on in almost every school room.
Was not done for Trump’s inauguration, at least in my son’s school.
I agree except my cspan picture quality was not as clear as Fox
I had three devices going at one time in case one dropped. I lost the stream to the t.v. but had the computer and phone. Then the power and internet went out, so all I had was the phone. After turning the phone into a hot spot I got the computer back. The power came back but not internet, which would come back hours later.
None of my views counted.
Oh no! And then with FR down too we were all stressing.
It can make a person wonder.
I watched on TV but I frequently watch live events on web streaming. Since many millions of people now watch events on streaming the Nielson comparisons to the past CANNOT be accurate.
BO’s peeps were either given the day off by their government employers or they don’t work at all! Silly goose.
Millions of people dont watch TV anymore. I saw the inauguration online.<<<<
I did see it on tv, but I have ota tv, not cable. OTA tv doesn’t count, either because they can’t track what you’re watching like they can with cable or internet.
I did take time-off to be there to witness this great event.
I did, too, really. Right Side Broadcasting on Roku TV.
