I viewed illegal immigration to be the biggest threat to our nation at the time. Bush talking amnesty led me to believe he would be equally terrible on other issues.
As for 09/11, yes I cut Bush slack on that. I thought he handled it well. I think his moves afterwards were good. I have not criticized him for going into Iraq. Hussein needed to be removed. I have defended Bush for taking out Hussein.
Iraq is not a threat on any level at this time.
I voted for Bush in 2004. He thanked me by not stepping in with Congress and preventing the economic meltdown in 2008.
Bush did more destructive damage to Conservatism and Capitalism than any other president including Clinton.
Obama was voted in because of his incompetence. We have dealt with eight years of a man who was unquestionably a traitor, due to the situation Bush left the nation in. I fully understand who headed the nation in the direction that led to the economic meltdown too.
Bush had the House of Representative and the Senate majority. He could have avoided the 2008 meltdown, and didn’t bother.
I was right about the guy all along, but we had very little choice once he was in.
What a revolting period we have gone through since Reagan.

I haven’t seen that big of parades here in the Los Angeles area, but I have seen some in the 100,000 range, with Mexican flags flying high.

Of course he would. Bush was a bit of a lefty and controlled by lefties.
He also likes Dubya because the younger Bush always played kissy with Democrats and allowed lots of them to be elected. Everybody else had to fight for W, including us. He wouldn’t fight them himself. Trump is very different.
