Surprised you feel that way. I thought it was one of the best and most appropriate looks she has ever worn as FLOTUS. The outfit was dignified and minimized her figure flaws and the color was wonderful on her, and also for the occasion.
Even my pastor said it made her look dowdy and emphasized her backside. Both he and his wife agreed it was not a flattery design for her (they seldom agree on anything)

I liked the cut-better than a lot I’ve seen on her-but I didn’t care much for the color. If she had jazzed it up with some accessories, and did something different with her hair (could have still had an updo) it would have been much better.
But the actual style of the dress was classic.
Yes, I agree because the cut of her jacket was exactly the same as Melania’s in the back. It was planned and not a surprise. So if they talked on they outfits I would say colors were also discussed.

Good to know that he honored her contribution. I think Tiffany will be very beautiful in her 30s and 40s when she loses the baby fat, and also she must be a very smart woman to have been admitted to Penn Law. Wish her all the luck with her unique situation, finding her best niche and core competencies.

I agree with your post. She needed a pin, a scarf, or some nice earrings and a better hairstyle. But I still think the dress and coat were a much better choice than most of what she’s worn on public occasions.
I loved the coat! And I liked it with the black boots.
The dress was definitely towards the top of the list of her best styles. It would have been perfectly fine for going to a school and reading to kids, or some type of luncheon.
I guess my problem is it just didn’t seem ‘special’ enough for the event. Then again, I probably would have been complaining if she had tried to upstage Melania! LOL
