Need to have great candidates in 2 years that aren’t part of this.
Once Trump is in the WH, they may just start coming out of the woodwork. Real, normal people who aren’t politicians. Trump broke that mold and has made it the new normal. Which is much closer to what our Founding Fathers had in mind.
Our political class made the decision that we were too big and deliberately worked to level the world economic playing field and equalize foreign economies with ours.
At the same time, our country and economy was so dominant that we lacked serious economic competition so politicians found it more productive for their re elections and power to divide Americans into groups and create conflicts and an us vs them mentality between those groups to turn the groups into opposing factions
This worked out well until these politicians succeeded beyond their wildest dreams in Balkanizing the American public into bitterly opposed factions with irreconcilable differences.
They have also succeeded over the 40 years in down sizing the American economy to equalize our economic strength with foreign competitors .
This political model has become obsolete due to our decline and the rise of serious foreign competitors.
The American political focus must evolve from Management vs Labor, “rich” vs “poor” , minority vs majority, man vs woman , queer vs straight and all the other Balkanized identity groups invented by our political class to the concept of Americans against world of competitors that desperately wants to steal our lunch money and eat our lunch.
This calls for a new coalition of Americans who unite in common cause to form a new political coalition focused on restoring and rebuilding America's economy so that it serves Americans and not foreign competitors.
