Jason Rector, 32, was able to join Medi-Cal because of the expansion. He’s an actor who juggles part-time jobs so he can still make time for auditions.

Jason I am working 70 hours a week so you can pursue your dreams. Maybe you should wake up to the reality that you suck as an actor and should take another career path.

If Trump’s plan bankrupts the Peoples Republic of California and forces a bunch of jugglers and other lazy layabouts to find real work, its just another argument for the plan.

I’m guessing a large number of those 13.5 million are not citizens of this country. Just saying...

California wants to secede, so, “what difference, at this point in time, does it make?”

No matter what other changes are proposed for Medicaid, one change I don’t hear before offered is THE one change that should be implemented, even if nothing else is done.

Better run states should quit subsidizing the states with more Liberal Medicaid benefits - through the federal tax system. That subsidy is done through the federal payment formula for the federal portion of the cost. That formula has the federal government pay 50% of what the state’s cost is. If a state is providing richer Medicaid benefits, it’s costs per recipient are higher and the federal cost per recipient is higher. It Literally rewards states with more Liberal benefits.

The formula for the federal portion of Medicaid should be changed. It should be no more than the lower amount between the national median per recipient Medicare cost, and the actual per recipient Medicare cost a state has. That will make states with more Liberal benefits fund their extra costs themselves.

Another change should insure the federal government pays zero for Medicaid for any illegal residents. States will either have to verify they are only paying Medicaid to citizens and permanent legal residents, or lose all federal Medicaid funding.

One in three people on MediCal is a staggering amount. If you consider the many government employees in CA that have taxpayer paid Cadillac plans, all the prisoners and the illegals getting “free” services, few Californians actually pay for their health insurance.

Anything that hastens the end of the Blue State model once and for all can’t be a bad thing. Eggs, omelette, all that.

This is wrong, the state’s expanded these programs, Obamacare just funded most of it for the first few years then the funding is decreased in later years.

If Cali wants to keep their CaliCare, they can keep it.

No one can make them change it, this is all a lie.

Hmmmm . . . let me see if I get this correct.

California . . . 30 million people eligible to vote

8.7 million vote for HRC vs 4.4 million for DJT

California to hire Eric Holder to represent them in any legal fight against Mr. Trump

13.5 million Californians are covered by Medi-Cal. Here's how Trump's plan could cost the state

and . . . what exactly is the problem?
