I'm disappointed that there is a perceived need to have entertainers bore everyone to death during our day of recognition for the representative process.
I'd prefer to see the Oath taken, a speech given followed by a short parade and then a wave on the way back to work.

Philly was the capital of Doo Wop, New York was the birthplace of the Broadway Pop song, but the Blues, Jazz, Rock ‘N Roll, and R&B were all created in the American heartland.
Southern girls with little gold crosses were screaming over Elvis on the “Louisiana Hayride” before anyone in Greenwich Village or Haight Ashbury ever heard of Rock ‘N Roll.
Biggest mistake Conservatives ever made was handing Rock ‘N Roll culture over to the flag burning hippies on a silver platter, because they didn’t like the long hair and the drugs.
Rock ‘N Roll was a by product of post war prosperity, and an expression of American Triumphalism. That’s why the Commie Folkies hated it.
But we gave it away, and despite the best efforts of Ronnie Van Zandt, Angus Young, and David Lee Roth, it hasn’t been easy trying to get the Lefties to give it back.

Sam & Dave were OUTSTANDING! Not only "Soul Man" but also "Hold On, I'm Comin'," "You Don't Know Like I Know," "I Thank You," "When Something is Wrong with My Baby," "Wrap It Up," ...

This man can put on one helluva show, even at his age. Welcome to DC, Mr. Moore (I know that Dave is with you in spirit, if not in your songs).
