Glad to see more GOP types not putting up with this nonsense.
Love LePage.
We can all live together as brothers or perish together as fools
Martin Luther King Jr.
There are a whole lot of quotes such as this which establish that all of the agitators and boycotters know NOTHING about the person they're supposedly honoring.
(I can't wait to see how many faux friends "unfriend" me)
Way to chop the beef, governor!
Want to see full retard in action ? Go read the comments section for mass delusions and John Lewis-worship.
It amazes me that everyone seems to forget that the people who attacked Lewis were DEMOCRATS....Alabama, George Wallace, KuKluxKlan are all DEMOCRATS and when Lewis recovered from his injuries having his skull fractured by a DEMOCRAT....he joined them...?????????????????
The contested election resulted in the Compromise of 1877, where Congressional Democrats allowed the election of Rutherford Hayes and the Republicans agreed to withdraw troops from the South. Hayes supported equal rights and continued to try to enforce the Enforcement Acts which guaranteed the right of blacks to vote in federal elections. Despite his efforts, however, Southern Democrats gradually imposed their strict Jim Crow system.
BOOM! Dang, this makes Trump's response look down right civil. LOL!
Hayes ran against them, but caved in to win the presidency in that close 1876 election.
Go LePAGE!!! He;s the ONLY Republican that has had the BALLS to say anything against St. John Lewis, the MORON!!!
Potentially our future governor is right on today PING :)
I live in Maine and heard most of that radio interview with Governor LePage.
When the governor said “We’re sick of the silver-tongued people,” I thought he mentioned by name Maine U.S. Senator Angus King (LePage will be challenging him in 2018 for his Senate seat) and First District of Maine moonbat congress-critter Chellie Pingree, who is boycotting the inauguration.
Regarding history, I have relatives (great-great-great uncles, approximately) who emigrated from Norway to Wisconsin in the early 1800’s and who died serving in the Union Army. In other words, my distant uncles, both white, died in the fight to free the slaves. My great-great-grandfather also served in the Union forces and, fortunately, lived to return home.
If they were all somehow still living, and had voted for Trump, Lewis would no doubt consider them all racists. Screw him, not for being black, but for being un-American. Illegitimate, my butt.
Article says: "Maine governor offers John Lewis an erroneous history lesson"
A Republican actually fighting back. Take note, Ben Sasse, Justin Amash, etc.
Maybe there’s hope for the GOP in New England yet. Nice to see someone call out the lie that the modern Republican Party is the successor of the old Dem Party. The Dem party has always been and continues to be the party of slavery, segregation, anti-civil rights, and pro judging people on the color of their skin and not the content of their character.
What is amazing is that a former Black Panther was on TV utterly destroying the actions of not only Lewis, but the entire BLACK CAUCUS (he called them communist), and stated that by joining the Democratic Party, they had submitted to their oppressors.
He was on a big tirade for the sad state of affairs, the break up of the family, and all the other Dem policies that have kept the blacks on the plantation.
He looked to be about 60 years old.
It seems testicles are finally in bloom in DC.
