President-elect Trump promised to negotiate a "fair" trade deal with the United Kingdom, softening the economic blow of the British decision to leave the European Union.
"I love the UK," Trump told The Sunday Times in his first interview with the British press. "I will be meeting with" UK Prime Minister Theresa May. "She's requesting a meeting and we'll have a meeting right after I get into the White House and it'll be, I think we're gonna get something done very quickly."
Trump's announcement is an expected reversal of President Obama's warning that the UK would be at the "back of the queue" if they voted to leave the European Union. It will also be an early test of Trump's ability to negotiate a trade agreement that satisfies economic imperatives while delivering benefits to the working-class voters who form the core of his political base.
"We're gonna work very hard to get it done quickly and done properly," he said. "Good for both sides."

Call it the Farage Pact.
This wench has drug bottom, like Hillary into the van with her toes chewing up pavement, stalling the people with inaction.
Theresa May has been a grave disappointment after BREXIT.
By the grace of God the people elected to survive by saving themselves.
Here is hoping TRUMP uses a couple of things.
First) a smack across the brow just to get her damned attention.
Two) an offer she can not refuse.
Three) makes her a deal that benefits America first and Britain.
Four) sends her packing with a dose of spine infusion.
Donald...tell her when she finishes the brexit from the EU, only then will the trade deal be final. Not before then.
She has been dragging her feet.
I remember when that punk said he would put Britain at the back of the queue. Absolutely LOVE how every stupid thing that man did is coming unraveled.
Trump and Nigel Farage have been talking. 😁
They can’t legally negotiate new trade deals with other countries until they officially exit from the EU, but nothing says they can’t do everything up until signing the papers before then. It will also give Britain some strength going into their EU negotiations knowing that the U.S. is willing to negotiate with them.
Well then. She had better get to it then no?
An advantageous trade pact with the US, which it most certainly will be, is a tonic to the quislings over there and obviates the potential “calamitous ruin” that was wildly predicted for the UK but which never happened.
