A former NBC producer was found dead in a drug-filled Manhattan apartment and two men he had been hanging out with were arrested after they called 911, police said Thursday.
Thomas Felty, 36, died Jan. 4 at the Upper East Side apartment where George Lopez, 50, and Patrick Walsh, 33, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Walsh and Lopez met up with Felty earlier that day and the three went back to Lopezs apartment, police said. Walsh and Lopez fell asleep and then awoke to find that Felty wasnt breathing.
Lopez called 911 and cops who responded at about 5 a.m. found a trove of drugs that included three large gallon size zip lock bags and six half gallon sized zip lock bags containing methamphetamine inside a black bag on top of a cardboard box.
They also found two large zip lock bags containing cocaine, 100 orange ecstasy pills, 34 Molly pills, 16 additional cat shaped ecstasy pills, 56 unidentified additional pills and $26,985.00 in cash in a laundry basket.
Police found a duffel bag that contained more drugs, including meth, hundreds of ecstasy pills, rock cocaine, marijuana and 58 green diazepam pills.

Sounds about right for the press and news agencies.
It was all “research” for a story he was working on...
CC
To paraphrase a famous scene from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, strange things are afoot in the Fake News Media.
And just today I heard of a proposal to random drug test White House reporters.
Makes sense.
Sounds like there might be a little more to the story.
I came across this just now in a Canadian paper and after a search found this with a Jan 12 report from the New York Post. I just found the headline interesting. It wasn’t the now ex producers place but still dying in a drug infested apartment is hardly the best way to go at the age of 36.
He must have been getting close to something to make the Democrats look bad. I suspect the Reddit guys will start connecting the dots here.
Well. Bye.
Sounds like the next NBC sitcom. Not being disrespectful. It sounds like a perfect fit for NBC. We still won’t watch NBC though.
Probably a reason that he’s an ex-producer.
I always carry my cash around in an ice cooler.
Just maybe the other two guys should have called the authorities and then removed the drugs and cash before the police arrived. Seriously, I thought the criminal element could think faster. Unless, the other 2 guys did not know about the massively large stash.
Gaydar pinging...?
Other energetic gentlemen on scene, meth...hmmm....
My beeber is stuned
