• GM Greg Lowery, a 45-year-old band vocalist, stood in for the President-elect at Sunday's dress rehearsal
• Sara Corry, a 28-year-old staff arranger for US Army Band 'Pershing's Own', played the role of Melania
• The pair walked down the steps of the US Capitol before embarking on Inaugural Parade with a motorcade
• The dress rehearsal on Sunday morning saw others stand in as Hillary and Bill Clinton

Army band members stood in for Donald and Melania Trump on Sunday at a dress rehearsal for Donald Trump's inauguration.

The pair dressed the part in a red tie and suit and white coat respectively. MSG Neil Ewachiw and MSG Leigh Hinton took on the roles of Mike and Karen Pence.

The rehearsal took place on the Capitol's East Front on Sunday. President-elect Trump will be sworn in on the West Front.

Ha! The fellow standing in for Mike Pence reminds me a bit of Jeff Dunham's "Walter".

Looking back on it, I assume it is SGM for Sergeant Major and the “S” was dropped. Army band members and vocalists start at Staff Sergeant (E-6) and can end up as a Sergeant Major (E-9) after a period of time. They are professional musicians and must audition for the position.
