I think a lot of “charities” are like this. When the majority of money goes “elsewhere”.

I am reminded of the hour-long “preaching” infomercial that runs every single night, 7 days a week. Lots good Gospel singing for about 1/2 hour, some reasonably-solid Bible teaching for about an hour and then 1/2 hour of send in your money - $1000 or more. Sometimes it’s the magic $273 amount.

7. Days. A. Week.

Of course they never really explain WHAT they’re doing with the $100 million dollars a year or so that they raise. The guy behind it has a $4+ million dollar house that he built on Indian land.

I’m all for people giving to God and the furthering of the Gospel. We were also warned about those just in it for the money, fleecing the flock.

I believe in charitable giving too, but I think folks need to do it close to home.

Study up on the local scene and give where it counts. Then keep up with the organization and it’s reporting. Google them from time to time.

The good Lord wants us to be judicious about our giving, and if we’re giving to an organization like the Clinton’s, we’re not exactly staying true to His ideals.
