It is almost unprecedented for a Republican to clean house. Democrats always do. Republicans never have before. That is part of the reason that Republicans get so little done. Their entire bureaucracy is fighting a Republican President from day 1.

Amen! That is exactly what doomed republican Gov. Ernie Fletcher a few years back here in Kentucky. I suggested through email to current republican Gov. Matt Bevin that he do exactly what you suggest. I hope he has and I hope Trump does the same at the federal level.
