His conclusions are all wrong, his logic is full of holes, and he jumps to his pre-decided conclusions as he sees fit.

This is just basic marxist or socialist propaganda.

He identifies real problems, but misidentifies the causes.

I also believe that he is simply wrong with some of his “facts”. Phone service to many other counties is *more* expensive than in the U.S., from what I have read, especially data prices.

Yes, health care and insurance in the U.S. is a huge mess, mostly because of government regulations and price fixing. In spite of that, our health care, in most respects is top notch.

The question is how to fix it. Obamacare has been a disaster. Let’s try a more market based approach, that we have been moving away from for decades in the U.S.

THe government and the insurance companies have been working in collusion with one another to raise prices over the years. Most of the stupid billing practices you see are mandated by goverment regulations.

As an American expat, I can confirm that costs outside of the United States are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than the USA. For me to call Boston from ZhuHai China, using China Mobile, the cost for a one hour phone call is 2.34 cents. What is the rate to call China from Boston? Is it that cheap?

Of course medical care in the USA is a big mess. My wife needed brain surgery last year. She was in the hospital in Shenzhen, China for 2 months. She had 4 operations, 11 MRI scans and a full spectrum of medicine. We used the more expensive HongKong -SZ joint venture hospital out of Nanshan due to the seriousness of the problem. The total cost was around 60,000 RMB....that is $10,000 USD. That is still a lot of money, but how much would it cost if we had the procedure in Boston? How many millions of dollars?

I didn’t realize that Viagra was now at $38 a pill. Last time I was back in the states we could buy it for about $11 a pill (but that was before Obamacare). You can buy Cialis at $7 USD a pill without a prescription imported from the USA, or a local manufactured version for about $0.75 each. Works just as good, but far far cheaper.

I think his rant has value.

If you have never been outside the USA, I would suggest you get a passport, and the associated visas and travel about. Just saying “I disagree because it has not been my experience”, no matter how you word it kinda betrays your ignorance.... Not really a good thing you know.

Calling something “Marxist or socialist propaganda” when it is clearly an emotionally driven rant is rather disingenuous, don’t ya think?

“This is just basic marxist or socialist propaganda.”

Chris Martenson is no stranger to leftist propaganda, even if it criticizes other leftists. He has been spewing it on financial boards for well over a decade.
