A similar law has been languishing in the Oklahoma state legislature for about a year, now. Come on, Mary Fallon! Sign it!

Valid points...all of them.

If we ever got back to actually following the Constitution, I think this country would be in much different shape than it is now. When you have an SOS in Minnesota certifying an election, knowing that the fraud is blatant, ushering in Franken, the system is incredibly broken. When you have a president urging illegals to vote, with no consequences, the system is broken. As for the ghetto and the hoodrat vote, they don’t matter all that much, as the cities are going to vote the way they do. Nothing can change that. The issue there is, just how many fraudulent votes will be counted, as in the case of the popular vote being decided by only a handful of precints throughout the country. Can you imagine what they election would be like, if it were completely legit across the board?

Yes and I just moved from Mississippi to Texas. How utterly disappointing it has been to find out how liberal Texas really is.

Training up with firearms used to be a part of culture. As a kid I could take my shot gun tio school and huint my way walking home. Back then people hit what they intended to.

Every town should have a simple range to which its citizens all have free access.

I agree with you 100%. Vermont is white because its colder than hell 6 months of the year. The Vermont immigre city folks control the vote, but rural Vermont is much like Wyoming.

The cities in Vermont control the vote, they are leftists. Rural Vermont is as red as Wyoming.

Missouri is NOT "Constitutional Carry"! There are severe limitations placed on us "unwashed masses" that do NOT pertain to "permit" holders.

There’s a bit of grumbling in Missouri where the same legislature that passed permitless concealed carry has just made the state capitol a gun-free zone. People unclear of the concept I guess.

Perhaps it was just such audacious displays of firepower that disinclined them to make the attempt.

BTW: My born and bred Hoosier Aunt married a Vermonter after the war and moved to Montpelier. Raised four kids there. Beautiful State. Would love to tour it on my bike.

I know. Once you get out of the ski towns and away from all those damn NYer’s, it’s kind of rugged.

I read your whole statement and get it, to a point. In the country here (VT), most kids start learning about firearm safety when they’re five or six. Recently we had two cases of DUI death resulting; case one was a former Burlington police officer who was over the limit for alcohol and killed a man. Second case was a heroin addict who shot up, drove her truck at over 100 mph and took out two folks going to the grocery store. I’ve had so many close calls on the roads, I’ve installed a GoPro and turn it on for every trip we make.
When you turn a corner and someone’s in your lane at a relative closing rate of 100+ mph, you can’t stop, and you sure as hell can’t ‘swerve out of the way’.
The addict who killed two? Sentenced to 2-12 yrs, will likely be released in April at sentencing with time served.
The police officer? Same sentence.
The message? If you want to kill someone in Vermont, get drunk or high and slam into them.

The North East art of the state: Called the Northeast Kingdom. That’s where the good old boy Vermonters live. They keep the values of Ethan Allen alive.Allen was the best damn gun runner America ever had, including cannons. The Brits discovered that as a major truth in Boston.

I completely understand your point.

Those kids in the country, learning about guns, is exactly how it should be. My nephews could unload, clear, disassemble, reassemble and function check a Glock, Sig and M4 when they were around 7 or 8.

Your point about the DUIs and speeding...Point taken, but they are exceptions to the thousands that are on the road every day in Vermont. And, one thing all those drivers do, everyday they’re on the road, is drive/practice. If you’re a gun person, then you know that being proficient takes work. Being able to do it under stress is even more work. Of the millions that have purchased this year, I’d be willing to bet that only a small percentage went to the range more that a couple of times. An even smaller percentage went and received actual instruction, whether thru a friend or hired someone.

At the end of the day, I’m all about everyone having one, if they want one, but I’d also love it they actually learned how to use them.
