President Barack Obama announced Thursday evening the unilateral creation of three new national monuments to honor America’s civil rights history, along with adding tens of thousands of acres to two existing West Coast monuments.
Obama announced the creation of the Birmingham Civil Rights National Monument in and Freedom Riders National Monument in Alabama. Obama also created the Reconstruction Era National Monument in South Carolina using his authority under the 1906 Antiquities Act.
“They tell the important stories of the citizens who helped launch the civil rights movement in Birmingham and the Freedom Riders whose bravery raised national awareness of segregation and violence,” Obama said in a statement. “These stories are part of our shared history.”

Trump, as his first official act, should designate Obama’s new house as a National Historic Monument.
And he should continue to designate every house the Obama’s move to as National Historic Monuments.
What would that accomplish?
How about ‘The Remains of the Branch Davidian Church’ National Monument?

It would show, to even the most uninformed, how that law can be - and has been - misused, AND punish the one who has most abused it, thereby leading to its reform.

This demonstrates the modern Progressive slant toward (i.e. perversion of) history.
In their view there is no history worth celebrating unless it involves one of their oppressed minority voting blocs.
We need an act of Congress to clean this mess up.
A combination of “the social gospel” and BLT.
Critical to the Democrat’s voting blocs. And why mass murderer Che Guevara is among those lionized - like Yasser Arafat and co.
How would it punish Obama? His ego is so huge that he would think it appropriate that where ever he sets foot should be a national monument.
I’m sure these designations are on Pres Trump’s list of things to undo.
