Biden told reporters Thursday that he and President Obama did not ask the intelligence community to corroborate the claims because they didnt take them seriously.
As a matter of fact, the president was like, What does this have anything to do with anything?'
The VP said he didnt think the unverified information was worth a second glance.

so basically nobody was in charge and the IC just did it’s own thing ?
I hope Joe Biden lives forever
Someone has to tip them off, because they do not have a clue.
There’s another thread here that says it was the Bushies that had the dossier created
"Wait, what was the name of the hotel again. Maybe we'll try the Moscow Sheraton next time instead."
One last under the bus...or a CYA?
He, Obama, and the guys at the CIA barber shop and the FBI guys’ favorite bar, and....
found it (or one of them) if true, loose ends being tied together.

It would have been good, but it wouldn’t have been “You’d be in jail” good.
I thought that was one of the best lines in the history of presidential debates.
UK Spy Gathered Trump Intel Without Going To Russia
A GOP donor who opposed Trump hired Fusion GPS in 2015, but Hillary Clinton supporters took over financing the research after Trump won the Republican primary.

This is one of those lines that makes your eyeballs hurt when you read it.
In fact, it looks like joebiden is plagiarizing again and stole it from an idiot?
Of course when 'we' ask where is the MSM in regards to JB & Leahy plagiarizing and outright lying, 'they' say it is old news and YOU GUYS already beat it to death so we didn't bring it up.

How the Washington Post 'handled' one of its veteran reporters, Lisa Rein for a couple of articles she wrote in 2015 & 2016 - HER excuse is something Ms Crowley should use.
The three stories, one printed in August 2015 and two printed in January 2016, were written by veteran reporter Lisa Rein.
In a statement, Rein said that the passages were inadvertent lapses made in haste and she apologized to both her readers and to Government Executive. There was no comment on any disciplinary action being taken against Rein, but all of the stories now have editors notes and alterations to reflect the discoveries.
That would have been a show.
Definitely the bush people then
The Kochs freeze out Trump (July 29, 2015)
. . .the network of Koch-backed policy and political outfits is using behind-the-scenes influence to challenge Trump more forcefully than the Republican Party establishment by limiting his access to the support and data that would help him translate his lead in the polls into a sustainable White House campaign. . .
Koch brothers summon Bush, Cruz, Walker, Rubio to SoCal confab (July 27, 2015)
Four leading GOP presidential candidates Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Scott Walker are traveling to a Southern California luxury hotel in coming days to make their cases directly to the Koch brothers and hundreds of other wealthy conservatives planning to spend close to $1 billion in the run-up to the 2016 election. . .The gathering which also will include former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, but notably not Sen. Rand Paul is hosted by Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, the umbrella group in the Kochs increasingly influential network of political and public policy outfits. . .
This Is How Much the Koch Brothers Hate Donald Trump (February 4, 2016)
The Kochs, whose fascinating political evolution I detail in my book Sons of Wichita, are not fans of the bombastic real estate mogul whose positions on everything from taxes to foreign policy are at odds with theirs. Charles Koch has said Trump's plan to create a Muslim registry would "destroy our free society"and for months Trump has been a source of debate and discussion within their donor network, which is raising nearly $900 million for the 2016 elections. Early on in the race, some members of the network believed, as did almost everyone else, that Trump would implode on his own. Some still do. And a very small handful of Koch network donors are Trump supporters. But in recent months, the Kochs and their allieswho now are largely leaning toward Marco Rubio and Ted Cruzhave considered a campaign targeting Trump, whose candidacy they believe poses a threat to the Republican Party, if not the country at large.
How a Sensational, Unverified Dossier Became a Crisis for Donald Trump
The story began in September 2015, when a wealthy Republican donor who strongly opposed Mr. Trump put up the money to hire a Washington research firm run by former journalists, Fusion GPS, to compile a dossier about the real estate magnates past scandals and weaknesses, according to a person familiar with the effort. The person described the opposition research work on condition of anonymity, citing the volatile nature of the story and the likelihood of future legal disputes. The identity of the donor is unclear.
SNIP
After Mr. Trump emerged as the presumptive nominee in the spring, the Republican interest in financing the effort ended. But Democratic supporters of Hillary Clinton were very interested, and Fusion GPS kept doing the same deep dives, but on behalf of new clients.
there is a certain crowd on FR, circa 2016-2017, that sounds and acts exactly like DU, circa 2008-2009.
that’s quite an indictment.
