The "Trump Effect" on the Media
YouTube ^ | Jan 12, 2017 | Dennis Prager

In an excellent survey of Donald Trump's first official "presser," Dennis Prager keenly points out that Trump has thrown a bomb into the media's routine. The press is turning on itself, and this is mainly because of their own post-modern view of truth and them being the arbiters of it. An awesome segment.

Not a real video. According to Dennis the real rub as to why the mainstream media is angry with Trump is because he is “dividing” the media. Other Media is upset with what Buzz-feed and CNN did. Also, because Trump took questions from right leaning media during the press conference.

As an aside, didn’t Obama omit Fox reporters?

That Fox was excluded is not an aside. It is the heart of the matter. Good memory.

Prager nails it. What the NYTs and others are complaining about is that the establishment media is not in lockstep conformity.

It is understandable. That is where they derive much of their power. If a person turns on ABC and gets a story, then turns on CBS and gets a completely different take on the same events, people know to be skeptical and to think.

Control over the masses depends on all the major media treating stories the same way and *supporting* each other.

It was that way for at least 50 years.

I often wondered “How can we have a free press when all the media run with the same stories and the same interpretation of the same stories?

The answer is that we did not have a free press. It was only free to publish accepted news from a “progressive” viewpoint.
