Breitbart's Big Govenment ^ | January 12,2017 | Charlie Spiering

WASHINGTON D.C. — Two bright spotlights shine on former WWE executive Linda McMahon as she sits down at a desk with a bottle of water next to her. As a group of eight serious-looking political figures peer back skeptically back at her. A man identifying himself as Senator Ed Murray asks a question about her support of President-elect Donald Trump during the campaign.

The man, although dressed in a suit, looks nothing like the real senator. But a paper with the official portrait of the Irish red headed senator is helpfully taped in front of the desk with an identifying name tag. He sips at a bottle of Diet Cherry Pepsi as McMahon replies to his line of questioning.

Welcome to the Trump transition team “murder boards,” where each nominee practices their confirmation hearing in a mock Senate confirmation hearing in a room designed to imitate a hearing room on Capitol Hill.

This is professional preparation at the highest level. This will be the first competent administration many have ever seen.

If Sarah Palin had been prepared in this way she might be President today.

Fascinating article. Thanks for posting.

I’ve practiced for presentations before a “murder board”. It really does sharpen your wits and prepares you for the real experience.

Reminds me of that show Bull. They have mock jurors and trial set up to analyze a jury.

The 5 “P”s. Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

Practice like you are playing the game.

I was pleasantly surprised that the show isn’t sucking like I thought it would!

Usually when a ‘star’ leaves a big series, they tank at their new venture. ‘DiNozzo’ just might make it in another venue, after all. ;)

This is so professional . It is indicative of the great government that will start Jan 20. There will be no mercy in demanding excellence and performance from every government employees or there will be harsh consequences. They are getting paid to WORK— They are now going to actually WORK!

I’m with you. I thought it would suck, and then it didn’t. I won’t make an effort to watch it, but if it’s on and I’m not I’ll check it out. The only thing I make a point to watch is Dancing with the Stars.

Murder Boards were standard operating procedure in Naval Aviation pilot advancement, at least in my day.... Good to PE Trump’s team has such a professional approach to this.

It’s all just gotten so bizarre and stupid that my only thought is, the MSM will run with lurid headlines “TRUMP ADVOCATES MURDER BOARDS!” followed by an article tut-tutting about Palin’s death panels.

Re: DWTS

The gals I used to work with were HOOKED on that show. I watched the season when Donny Osmond (who WAS to be my husband!) was on. ;)

Believe this phrase originated in the Puzzle Palace, quickly spread to all the services and was adopted by the civilian world.

It's really an intriguing show, isn't it? I love legal and courtroom dramas. The Good Wife went off into the weeds. As for realism, however, Bull has yet to lose a case. Maybe the last one of the season will be a cliffhanger.

The old National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics used to put the author or a technical report before a murder board before authorizing publication. That was 1940s - 1950s.
