Can anyone explain why his sentencing is not scheduled until November?

This is January -- that is 10 months in the future. And, he will be out on bail until then.

All I can see is a huge possibility for him to disappear, since he can get 5 years for this crime.

There is no doubt of his guilt, since he just admitted it...

It’s a federal sentencing. There is always a large gap between a plea and sentencing because they have to do the pre-sentence investigation report and that takes 4 or 5 months to get done, then the defense has time to review and file objections, so usually the actual sentencing will be 6 months or so after the plea hearing. He may be free on pre-trial release, but he may be on GPS monitoring, his passports will have been surrendered, etc. He is likely not going anywhere.
