CNN is in trouble. It’s ratings are terrible and it’s reporters can’t even ask questions from tehe press pool any longer.
I thought it was equally decent that Trump said he appreciated and respected the news organizations who refused to exploit this fake news information.
While that certainly could be seen as self-serving, in this instance it’s a pretty good call to do it, because the information was clearly bogus.
He’s not against praising folks as well as taking them out behind the woodshed.

Trump uses the carrot and stick, praise and criticism approach on people. He doesn't waste his time with liking or hating. He's strictly results oriented.
