I am tired of the words Nazi, racist, and traitor. There are actual real Nazis, racists, and traitors. I disagree with McCain often but he is not a traitor.

Doug, how would you explain his behavior regarding POW-MIAs? Or his statement in a foreign land about an act of war last week? Finally, his standing with ISIS terrorists, sworn enemies of our country? I, too, will not use labels incorrectly in order to vent my spleen. All I could do is not vote for him.

McCain has given aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States of America. Clinton - both of them - have sold out America’s national security interests for personal financial gain. Obama has intentionally weakened America’s defences, its border security, has released known terrorists so they can renew their attacks on America and Americans, and has invited terrorists into the country under the guise of “refugee”. Traitors all of them. And I mean in the Constitutional law sense, not merely rhetorical.

And, in the opinion of many, the “was” is what keeps him in the anti-GOP camp.
If John McCain were a politician from New York, he would be a liberal Democrat. As one goes West the nation becomes more liberal, and McCain is nowhere near being a conservative, the bulk of the Eastern US Republican party... add in a Bush from Liberal Blue Mass. and you end up with Compassionate Conservatism... Only if Republicans accept that liberals can be republicans can one accept McCain as a true republican. Hence we dislike him for not being a democrat proper so we know where his vote always counts.
