China copying US Navy's playbook. If a shooting war starts the China CV will be in port because it will be sunk within the first 15 minutes of war.

Hopefully it will run aground on one of their artificial reefs and stay stuck.

Come on, can you really call that thing and Aircraft Carrier? I served on two Carriers & an America Class LHA with F-35’s and AV-8s would have fun sinking this thing. Their J-15s burn up half their fuel on takeoff! Good luck with that.

I have a hunch it will be as successful as the Russian Carrier when it was dispatched!!!

I don’t believe this would have happened if 0bama hadn’t called every one of our carriers back to port. If you weren’t aware, we currently have NO carriers at sea.

The Ruskies and the Chinks have more carriers at sea than we do.

The question you have to ask is the US SSN we have trailing the Chinese Carrier have a Chinese SSN following it?

Any cross-strait aerial battles will be fought with land-based aircraft. Any carrier within 300 nautical miles of a hostile coastline is inviting an attack. Marginal utility & High Risk = Leave that toy in the garage.

So does the USN SSN following the PLAN carrier, which I am sure we do, have a PLAN SSN tracking it?

F-35s and AV-8s would have fun sinking this thing Hard to do when it has a handful of Mk 48 sized holes below the waterline (and is no longer on the surface) ...
To: NorthMountain
One MK-48 below the keel would probably do the trick. A snapped keel will put a halt to flight operations pretty quickly.

Does anyone know the numbers of aircraft and crews the Chicom lost in carrier quals?
If the number is 2 or 3, someone is lying.
Swag: 4 aircraft and crew minimum. (launch, recovery, refueling, deck crew etc.)
5.56mm

America's first aircraft carrier (Langley) was built in 1920. It will take China a while to catch up.
That is a whole lot of experience to match.

Eh, kinda. Russia's carrier is getting half-towed around the Mediterranean. China's is taking short cruises right off their coastline. Not actually 'at sea'.
As for ours, it's just an Obama grounding of the Navy, not an actual capability decline. We have 10 full-size carriers, and many more mini-carriers n stuff.

Chinks?
Nothing but class, eh?

ChiComs are, of course. I agree.
You said “chinks”, not ChiComs.
What is wrong with you?

If you know how racist most Asians are towards westerners you’d wouldn’t have a problem with that at all.
