I live in northwest Illinois near the Mississippi river. The bald eagles are think here right now. You can go to one of the locks and see 100+. If you live near the river you keep the cats and toy dogs inside.

They went extinct in New Zealand when the Maori killed all the Haast eagle’s prey, the Moa, which were 400 lb+ flightless birds. Maybe the eagles only killed young moa.
