This, for the hypocrisy of it all:

President Barack Obama’s code name is “Renegade,” wife Michelle’s is “Renaissance,” and the first daughters’ are “Radiance” and “Rosebud,” according to numerous reports. Vice President Joe Biden chose “Celtic.”

Renegade.

Yeah, like rogue, only worse.

“...who has difficulty with facts...”

Well, Mr Schiff...It was always my understanding that “facts” required “proof”....

Where is your proof?????

Tossing aside career analysts can create false conclusions, critics warn — like the George W. Bush administration’s incorrect assessment that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction (WMDs).

This is how you spread the meme, keep repeating the 'big lie' and people will start to believe it. Where is it that the 'career analysts' of the intelligence agencies were saying; 'Iraq does NOT have WMDs?' Given that Saddam USED chemical weapons (WMD) against Iran and his own people, it would have been a LIE! Given that he made a mockery of the UN (an oxymoron) and its weapon inspections, why would these (how many?) career analysts be able to make such statements as this writer has apparently read?

Just who exactly are these “Intel experts”? Career political appointees that fear losing their jobs when Trump drains the swamp?

From Col. Patrick Lang (USA, ret.). Lang is a highly-regarded former top intelligence professional, West Point instructor, and Army SOF officer. NB: he is not a Trump supporter (nor Hillary):

Wait for it! The answer to the question is - indefinitely. I would think that the Trump Administration will go through the ranks of the SES/SIS position holders at CIA/DIA/NSA, etc. like a scythe. These folks, of whom I was one (SES-4) are not career protected like the lower members of the federal civil service. In return for their elevated rank (equivalent to military flag officers) they lack actual legal job security and can be much more easily removed. They are usually highly politicized schemers and enablers for their presidential appointee bosses at the very top of the food chain. But who will run things!? Well, pilgrims there are lots of eager beaver GS-15s awaiting their turn and eager to prove their loyally to the administration.

Hey, why not ? Payback is a bitch and people like Clapper and Brennan could not have staged this intelligence "coup" without the cooperation of the SES corps.

And then there is the little matter of the chain of command in the federal government. NEWS FLASH!! The IC agencies work for the president. He does not work for them. If he does not accept their analysis - so be it! They are not semi-divine creatures endowed with some special gift of understanding the world, Well, some are, but not many.

Any intelligence is destined to support decision making for policy. It should NEVER be prescriptive. The news idiots keep asking old intelligence hands what policy should be... What a sad joke. For Trump, the IC is just another consultant group. pl"

And how, exactly, would these “experts” describe the actions of Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch for the past eight years?

While they are at it, let’s see proof of their marshmallow “expertise” by them revealing all of Dorkbama’s hidden records, birth certificates, passports, the real father, etc. If they do this, they just might be experts.

However, I, and all the rest of us, strongly suspect that these clowns couldn’t hold a job at Best Buy, and that the government collection of clown agencies was their only hope.

Wait a minute. GWB listened to the same official intelligence that convinced Bill Clinton about Sadam’s WMDs. Maybe if he had been a little more skeptical about the extent of WMDs that Sadam claimed to have, and a lot more skeptical about the kind of people we are dealing with in the Arab world, he might have acted differently.

oooh........you used "LOGIC"

you'll make the list now for sure

Russia is our natural ally - white, Christian, heterosexual.

La Cosa Nostra was white, Christian and heterosexual too.

We may be able to work with Russia where we have common interests, but we also need to be aware of where we have conflicting interests. As Reagan said: "Trust but verify."

Ya mean, kinda like Reagan? He didn’t trust the Intel agencies, either and that’s how that disaster happened and the USA collapsed in 1991.

History demonstrates that no one is a natural ally with the Russian bear on equal terms. However, these idiots have poked the bear because they simply are incapable of dealing with reality. They are mentality incapable of ever taking personal individual responsibility for being losers. They believe their ‘intentions’ are what count. Except in Hillry’s case her intentions were impossible to cover up. Hillry Clinton is a crooked criminal who met her ‘waterloo’! And that was NOT the Russians.

Is Katie Bo rewriting history here? Bush listened to in-house analysts just like most other pols (eg HRC) of the era, as far as I remember. It WAS the analysts who said Iraq had WMDs, not some rogue assessment by GWB underlings.

The government employees are worried he’ll take their focus off of Tea Party members, and demand they look at radical Islamic terrorists.

“The civilian intel agencies need to be cleaned out with an old school Inquisition.”

Problem is the schools where these analysts came from are all left wing. That will have to change.

>>Russia is our natural ally - white, Christian, heterosexual.<<

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Absolutely correct. You can also add anti-globalist.

China is the adversary—nuclear arming Iran (in return for oil), running a global criminal enterprise of counterfeit merchandise, challenging US Naval power, and running a brazen anti-American “imperialist” strategy (especially in Africa and Latin America) that would make Vladimir Lenin spin in his tomb.

Trump’s foreign policy should include encirclement of China featuring a new generation of USA allies—Russia, India, Philippines, and Vietnam—along with traditional allies Japan, Taiwan (but make it official) & Korea.
