Call this the Question of the Week. ABCs Jon Karl asked White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest on Tuesday about why Barack Obama expelled 35 Russian diplomats for hacking the DNC but didnt expel any Chinese diplomats for hacking an actual government agency and stealing the highly confidential records of 21 million government employees. Earnest really didnt have much of an answer. Via RealClearPolitics and our pal Matt Vespa:
JON KARL, ABC: So when the Chinese hacked OPM in 2015, 21+ million current and former government employees and contractors had their personal data stolen by the Chinese. Why did the White House do nothing publicly in reaction to that hack? Which in some ways, was even more widespread than what we saw here from the Russians?
JOSH EARNEST: These are two cyber incidents that are malicious in nature but materially different.
KARL: 20 million people had their personal data taken fingerprints, social security numbers, background checks. This was a far-reaching act
EARNEST: Im not downplaying the significance of it, Im just saying that it is different than seeking to interfere int he conduct of a U.S. national election. I cant speak to the steps that have been taken by the United States in response to that Chinese malicious cyber activity
KARL: But nothing was announced. There was not a single step announced by the White House.
EARNEST: It is true that there was no public announcement about our response, but I cant speak to what response may have been initiated in private.
KARL: But no diplomats expelled, no compounds shut down, no sanctions imposed, correct? You dont do that stuff secretly.

The easy answer is that it didn’t reveal dirt on any Democrats. Dissing Democrats is the unforgivable sin.
What’s more important, the DNC or America?
Lou Dobbs basically asked the same question of Ralph Peters when Peters was going cuckoo yesterday about “all the damage (supposedly)” “those darn Russians” did to America’s 2016 election.
bttt
Personally, I feel like the OPM attack was largely our own fault. If we make it easy for our databases to be hacked, and we don't even pay attention while it is happening, we can't expect other countries to just do us a favor and keep their hands off. Obviously quite a few heads need to roll in our own government and we need an intensive program to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.
True. Another answer is that China is still Communist Party controlled.
Maybe because our first gay, muslim president is their little bitch boy? Maybe? Perhaps?
Terrorist: It is my INTENTION to kill for Allah. My MOTIVATION is I am a soldier for ISIS.
US Intelligence Agencies: “It is very hard to establish MOTIVATION OR INTENTION. We cannot attribute MOTIVATION or INTENTION of any perps of the recent incidents.”
US Intelligence Report: While we cannot release any specifics we are 100% certain that we have determined the MOTIVATION and INTENTION of Putin and the entire leadership of Russia.
Is it just me or is this smack of the politicization of intelligence?
Remember, Trump like Gulliani DOES not question the loyal intel agents in the field but only agencies who are lead by the likes of Jeh Johnson, John Brenner, and James Clapper.
You have to wonder if Josh Earnest would answer “Earnestly” about which hand He wipes His @$$ with.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Good for Karl!!
Obama sure didn’t rebuke the Chinese. Yet the Chinese nevertheless disrespected him. While providing a red-carpet welcome to world leaders, the Chinese refused to provide rolling stairs to Obama and he had to exit through the service door.
Interesting.
Well, we would all like to help the less fortunate.
But, being blind to islamic terrorists..........etc.
Silly. He’s on the Chinese payroll, but not the Russian payroll. Remember he’s the Manchurian candidate, not the Siberian candidate.
“Peters seems to have done a 180 lately”
Peter’s endorsed Hillary for President, enough said.
