FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) The Fort Worth Police Department sent a tweet to the verified account for Wendys restaurants Thursday night to report that employees at a location in the city had refused to take an officers order.
The Fort Worth police officer says he went into the Wendys on Interstate-20, near Trail Lake Drive. The man said when he made eye contact with a group employees, they all walked to the back of the kitchen and refused to take his order.
Wendys quickly tweeted back that they were, Abruptly handling the situation and on Friday sent the following statement
While the statement says they are hoping to resolve this matter quickly there has been no word on exactly what action has or will be taken.
Many people have reached out to Fort Worth police online to offer free meals and gift cards to other fast food chains.
Heres the original Twitter exchange between FWPD and Wendys
If I was an LEO, and knowing what I do of the emotional state of a big part of the population, I think I’d brown bag it.
As it is, I no longer eat fast food except where I can see them make it in front of me.
To many Salvadorenos, Egytians, Asians, etc. who are here illegally and brought health issues with them.
Obama AND the media’s legacy
#BLM
Sounds like it’s time for a rapid fire series of surprise health inspections for that particular site.
Imo, that sort of thing doesn’t happen without the on site management being a part of it or at least refusing to control their employees.
And a place that is that out of control on any one aspect can be counted on to be just as out of control and any number of others.
Same here. I read a website once which was devoted to “spilling the beans” about fast food and restaurants and some of the things which go on behind the scenes. It made me resolved to never eat out again unless I have assurance (which will depend on different factors) that my food won’t be tampered with. You don’t want to know what I read some of the teen male workers at KFC do to the big vats of cole slaw.
I live in Euless which is essentially Fort Worth. That location is a mainly black area.
More and more people are waking up to the dangers of eating out.
Those employees and the manager of that restaurant should be fired immediately and Wendy’s should provide free food for any and all policemen (and police women) in that city for a year, welcome them to come by any time.
They would get some good publicity for that, so it would be a good business decision too.

Jerry: “I think what he’s trying to say is: ‘get the bouillabaisse.’”
George: “(coughing, gestures and nods his head in agreement)”
Thank to Obama, there’s plenty who want the job and will serve them.
Dave Thomas is rolling over in his grave. I generally eat at Wendy’s or Chik-fil-A. Usually never have a problem with my food. The only exception would be the Wendy’s near BWI Airport, near Baltimore. Food tasted like it was sitting around all day.
Exactly so. If this is a franchise, take it away.............................
Due to past experiences I make it a habit not to eat in restaurants that have all black crews. I didn’t used to be this way but you’ve got to learn from experience.
Any pictures of the employees?
I wish police stations would provide free boxed meals to their officers.
I'd still worry about who made the free boxed meals. I bring my own every day.
If I was a cop, I would bring my own lunches. Too many loogies out there.
Will not eat at Wendys until Wendys does something more than what they have said. Their response is totally unacceptable.
Hopefully the person who refused to serve the officer will get fired.
I was talking to a friend about KFC and we both agreed that the employees there had a ‘and don’t ever bother us again’ attitude.
I don’t eat there anymore, hate the repeated cold shoulder at the counter.
