Levin: The ‘absolute, horrific inhumanity’ in Chicago
Conservative Review ^ | 1/5/2017 | Chris Pandolfo

Posted on 01/06/2017 8:20:01 AM PST by HomerBohn

Thursday evening on "The Mark Levin Show," Conservative Review's editor in chief addressed the “absolute, horrific inhumanity” of the racist torture attack on a developmentally disabled man in Chicago, stating it is but the latest example of the "collapsing of the civil society" in Chicago and other communities under Democratic policies.

(Hear Levin comments at link)

The Obama legacy, like "what the politicians have done to your way of life [in Chicago]," is a tragic failure. And yet President Obama “is running around touting his legacy as if it’s something great and to be admired.”

In many areas of the United States there is no civility; there is no polite society! Day after day and night after night the scum of American society commit the atrocious crimes that we read about and see on television. These criminals are the enemies of American society along with the leftist politicians who back them up.

Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch soooooo belongs in Chicago.

And we sooooo need to build another wall around that wretched city.

Good people of Chicago (both of you), please leave now so that you will be safe when the inevitable but necessary procedures to protect us from Dorkbama ad his ilk occurs.

He doesn’t get it. It’s a “black” thing and it’s not recent. Blacks declared war on whites long ago. Conservative whites knew it. The rest of the world chose to ignore it. Sooner or later whatever white boys still have their testicles will have to address the problem.

Don’ t discount the Mexican cartels that supply the drugs at the root of much of this chaos.

Yup. Born and raised in Mississippi. I’ve seen this all my life. These people “Levin” included are deluded idiots on the subject. They completely refuse REFUSE to see the truth.

Say for example, if someone (not myself) but someone else were to openly say “the people lynched in the South were guilty”. Levin would literally crap his pants. Even if there have been millions of crimes committed since those days that give credence to the statement.

Americans have been poisoned for a very long time.

It is likely that most of them were guilty.

I was surprized to learn that the number of lynchings was relatively small. Something like 600 over several decades, as I recall. They amount to less than one year’s murders in Chicago alone.

It is what people do when they do not trust the rule of law.

“Lynchings” are seen in India, Pakistan, Mexico, and other places where the locals do not trust the “authorities” to do the right thing.

I have heard a lot from conservatives about this. Now I want to hear from democrats. Especially democrats up for re-election in 2018 in red states.

A true modern day Sodom for sure. Can fire and brimstone be far away? Methinks it will make the original Chicago fire look like a camp fire in the woods.

Say for example, if someone (not myself) but someone else were to openly say “the people lynched in the South were guilty”.

Some of them were. And a quarter of them were white. The heyday of lynchings in the South coincided with the "glory days" of western posses and string 'em up without a trial "justice" in the sometimes-wild west as well. Informal justice is not always a miscarriage, though I still prefer trials to at least somewhat reduce the likelihood of error.

I've never seen a really good analysis of lynchings in the broader context of vigilante justice during that era. Such a study would probably be so full of adventuresome speculations as to be almost useless, but the raw data might shed some light.

The fact that three quarters of lynchings in the South were of blacks is, of course, a very strong confirmation of the racial animus at work. How many of these were black men lynched for a capital crime that they probably did, in fact, commit? Would they have been hung anyhow had they stood trial? How many were lynched for crimes for which a white offender would have received a lighter sentence? Or for which a white offender would probably have been acquitted, given the evidence? Or in which they simply happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and were made a scapegoat by a mob?

The "hard" number that we would be trying to estimate would be the number of black men who were lynched for offenses against the racial code of the times: getting too "uppity" or argumentative; striking a blow against a white man (perhaps in the course of a heated argument, or with alcohol involved on one or both sides), or -- horror of horrors -- consensual sexual relations with a white woman, or even an inappropriate approach?

Depending on which version of the story you believe, Emmet Till may have done considerably more than whistle at a white woman, but he still did nothing criminal. That's as clear a case as we're going to get. The numbers would be interesting.

That said, I'm willing to guess that a substantial number of lynchings did involve a real underlying crime, and the vigilantes often got it right. The vigilantes sometimes strung up white men as well, but whites were much likelier to at least get a trial.

Agreed. The research would be insanely difficult. That’s why I would never be able to make that statement myself in an honest way. I simply don’t know, however I do know that the history of those events has been used to smear my kin for a hundred years.

The research would be insanely difficult.

That's why God made graduate students. Perhaps some iconoclast at an elite university would like to do a dissertation on "Justifiable Lynchings." This would be a real contribution to the field, but good luck finding a job afterward.

Anything Mark Levin says rings hollow to me. The man did everything he could to hurt Trump all year long — even after the nomination was his. Why are we still posting this gasbag’s musings?

While I agree with him it pains me to do so, Levin appears to be on a belated fishing expedition, casting about for anything to reel his listeners back in, after his disgusting performance over the past year.

I won’t hit the click bait, did he work in his patented Anti-Trump tirade into the article anywhere?

Levin makes a living harranging against the obvious and stating the obvious.

If he hadn’t separated himself from *doing* instead of *talking*, by his idiotic choice of candidates in the primary, he might have salvaged his credibility.

The Cruz/Butt Hurt crowd and *NeverTrump clingers are about the only promoters he has left for an audience. That’s how deep the Cruz love was/is and the resentment/hate toward Donald Trump. Levin is their mouth piece.

From 1862 to 1968 there were 1297 whites lynched and 3445 blacks lynched

He’s supposed to be some renowned “Constitutionalist” and he was promoting a clearly ineligible Cubanadian.
I have no further use for him.

Millions of crimes committed since, DO NOT prove guilt to an individual regarding a previous crime.

What are your try to say?
