Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate is asking legislators to quickly approve a bill that would require voters to show some form of identification before casting a ballot. “This bill will make it difficult to cheat the system,” Pate says. The bill Pate seeks would require Iowans to show a driver’s license, a military ID, their passport or a voter ID card issued by his office to be eligible to vote in their precinct on Election Day.

Every state needs this and if the Voting Rights Act prevents it, repeal it. These measures protect the votes of valid voters.

“Critics like Senate Democratic Leader Rob Hogg say there’s little evidence of widespread voter fraud and Pate’s proposal is a solution to a non-existent problem.”

The typical response of a vote-fraud-protecting Democrat.

If you have a university, you have voter fraud.

Too many voters (potential voters) jammed into a small space.

Mush heads and manipulative community organizers (aka university staff and hangers-on) right in there providing guidance.

are students voting at home in one state and at school in another state? Do states / counties share data to cross check?

I could even support a biometric way to vote. If you don't have an ID, do an eye scan. Nobody with the same eye can vote more than once. It doesn't even need to be tied to an individual permanently, just saved until election day is over, and prevent anyone with the same eye from voting again.

I would also support paper ballots with barcodes where the machines can only count them once. This would prevent the kind of fraud in Detroit where people sent the same ballots through counting machines multiple times.

Common sense would be not to issue DL’s to illegals such as CA and WA do.

At least Iowans could be more confident in their state elections and their Congressional seats.

I came up with a plan to fix the voter rolls. It is too long to retype here. go to:

www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3498841/posts post 44.

Let me know if you can add anything to this list of items needed to change the problem of voter fraud.

Feel free to get it to anyone you might know in the Iowa Sec of State office. I don’t claim any kind of copyright to my thoughts. I just want to clean up the voter rolls.

BTW- I snail mailed this proposal to Trump about 4 weeks ago.

Voter ID is all well and good, but what is even more important is that the person’s eligibility to vote be verified or their voter registration purged. Alone, it does not preclude people using fake ID to register to vote and then again when voting.

eVerify should be used to verify all voter registrations and then fingerprints as well as photo added to a voter database. Then at the polls, the fingerprints plus a PIN like the last four digits of the SS# should be required rather than just a signature. The database picture should be checked against the person attempting to vote.
