The seeds of Democratic renewal can be found in the affluent neighborhoods of Atlanta and its northern suburbs, where a quiet protest against Donald Trumps Republican Party took place on Election Day. The diverse, moderate-minded constituents of Health and Human Services Secretary designee Tom Price took a markedly different view of Trump than working-class white voters in the Rust Belt. Mitt Romney carried this district with 61 percent of the vote in 2012a seat that The Almanac of American Politics dubbed a safe Republican districtbut Trump eked out just a 1-point win over Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Clinton carried suburban Atlantas Cobb County by 3 points, a dramatic 15-point swing from Mitt Romneys resounding double-digit victory in the county four years earlier. Among the most-affluent precincts in Fulton County, Clinton won by 3 points. Clinton even carried white voters in the Atlanta metropolitan area by a 1-point margin, a stunning turnaround in a state that has historically been deeply polarized along racial lines.
The results from the Atlanta suburbs offer Democrats a playbook for how to compete in the futurewin over socially liberal, fiscally conservative voters who traditionally lined up with Republicans. This would pair the diverse Obama coalition with voters who have favored free markets and a tough-minded foreign policy. It would be a throwback to the centrist policies of Bill Clinton, along with a full-throated embrace of a diversifying America. It would concede some of the white working-class gains to Trump, while making an aggressive push to bring college-educated suburbanites into the Democratic fold.

Cain has the 9-to-12 morning gig. Fabulous. He mixes it up with his "News nuggets" commentary, business/financial advice, an occasional guest, and some joking around with show staff. Very intelligent talk, clear discussions, and some folksy Southern charm too.
The last 30 minutes each day he does "Rapid Fire" one-minute discussions with listeners: "Hello Donna, you've got a minute on Rapid Fire, what's on your mind?" and a quick Q&A discussion follows, and he moves onto the next person. Very effective. And the callers really feel like they are contributors to the show.
Herman had a witty one today. The discussion was on ObamaCare. He said,
"And you know what the initials of 'Make America Sick Again' spell? It's M..A..S..A, MASA. And that slogan shows what the real agenda of the Democrats is: they want the federal gobberment to be the MASA [master] over your health care."
Keep it up, Herman!
Maybe the rat atheists can show faked solidarity with their mooslem allies by sacrificing goats at the next convention.
LOL!
MASA
They can’t seem to run from it no matter how they try.
These ‘folks’ are just so full of themselves they can barely walk.
Nice to hear the Herman Cain continues to shake things up.
Previously, they were horrible racists that dropped out of grade school, worked as guards at Dachau and supported Romney.
Me too. YES!
Who can forget that they had no American Flags the first night of the Dem Convention last year?
