I just was wondering. Are there any contemporary accounts of the Jews in Egypt. I know they recovered the name Moses, from some writing. They name had been erased or they tried to X over it but that is the only thing I have ever read.

Below is a link to a picture of a pillar they found.
King Solomon put two of these up , one on the Egyptian side of the red sea and one on the Saudi side. The pillar tells the story of the red sea crossing and they were put at the spot where Moses led them to cross . They found Egyptian chariots laying all over the floor of the crossing site where the water swallowed them up when they tried to follow behind the Hebrews. They have found all kinds of things.

There’s a book, “Israel in Egypt”, which covers a lot of that. (Lots of evidence of Hebrew slaves in Egypt.)
