Sens. Cruz, Heller, and Rubio Introduce Bill To Move U.S. Embassy To Jerusalem

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV), and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) have introduced the Jerusalem Embassy and Recognition Act, which would move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, and therefore recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital city. Currently, the U.S. Embassy is located in Tel Aviv.

In a statement, Sen. Cruz said that it was "finally time" to move the embassy.

“Jerusalem is the eternal and undivided capital of Israel,” Sen. Cruz said. “Unfortunately, the Obama administration's vendetta against the Jewish state has been so vicious that to even utter this simple truth - let alone the reality that Jerusalem is the appropriate venue for the American embassy in Israel - is shocking in some circles. But it is finally time to cut through the double-speak and broken promises and do what Congress said we should do in 1995: formally move our embassy to the capital of our great ally Israel. I am pleased to co-sponsor this legislation with Senator Heller and Senator Rubio, and I look forward to working with the Trump administration to make this happen.”

In 1995, Congress passed “The Jerusalem Embassy and Relocation Act,” which was supposed to move the embassy to Jerusalem. More than 20 years later, this has not yet happened.

President-elect Donald Trump has stated that he thinks the embassy should be in Jerusalem.

I’m shocked that Heller would attach his name to anything as audacious as this. Maybe now that he is the senior senator from Nevada he’s feeling his own man and not like he has to check everything with Harry Reid before he makes a commitment.

Israeli Ambassador Praises Trump's Plan to Move Embassy

Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer endorsed President-elect Trump’s proposal to move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

"The reasons why the United States should move the embassy I think are pretty clear," Dermer told the crowd gathered at the embassy during a Hanukkah party Tuesday evening. "The first thing, it would send a strong message against the delegitimization of Israel and of Jerusalem. ... The second reason why I think the embassy should be moved to our capital is that it would be a great step forward to peace. That's right. A great step forward to peace."

Trump’s pick for U.S. ambassador to Israel also praised the president-elect’s plan to move the embassy, saying it will “strengthen the unbreakable bond between our two countries and advance the cause of peace within the region.”

“[I] look forward to doing this from the U.S. embassy in Israel's eternal capital, Jerusalem," he added.

Dermer said the move should’ve happened a long time ago.

But Palestinian officials are warning

If they're jumping the gun....Trump will let us know.

I believe Pence met with the Senate a couple days ago...

I have no problem with the timing of this...

They need to prepare ALL these bills...have Trump take a look....and let him or Pence assign No. 1, 2, 3,...etc.

I think Trump doesn't want to do anything by Executive Order. We'll see.

They have had years to prepare for ACA repeal. Years to prepare for border security.

TIME’S UP. NO MORE EXCUSES. TIME FOR RESULTS.

But leftist jews still hate the GOP, like, almost embracing the idea that Hitler banned them from capitalism, because, you know, they were bad capitalist jews...

It doesn’t take years to prepare a bill.

ACA can be repealed immediately. The current enrollment period ends Jan 31, 2017. The next enrollment period is scheduled to begin Nov 1, 2017 and end Jan 31, 2018 - cancel it. It’s over.

That is true, but the rats will do everything they can to prevent it. Schumer has already hinted about it. I am sure you are aware of it.

These Democrats https://cpc-grijalva.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=71&sectiontree=2,71 are communists who have infested our government. They are the “Democrat Socialists of America”, the U.S. branch of the Socialist International.

Did Ted openly recognize that Hillary Clinton was a dire threat to this nation and do everything in his power to make sure she wasn’t elected?

NO! End of story for Ted.

Now he’s on the job though. What was this dip-stick’s plan Trump failed to be elected?

He hasn’t been a team player to this point at all, but by golly you Ted disciples are here to defend him none the less.

Ted and his sad little group of NeverTrumpers are disgusting to the ultimate.
