If a tough new proposal in Utah becomes law, just a few drinks — or even a few swigs — could put you over the limit for drunk driving.
An effort is underway in the state to lower the legal blood-alcohol concentration for driving to .05 — a first in the nation. Currently, all 50 states have a .08 cap, eschewing suggestions from the National Transportation Safety Board to redefine what constitutes drunk driving.

What it really boils down to is zero tolerance. As a member of AA I recall a friend of mine who had been in the program for 30+ years asking me how would I feel if I killed a family of four if I was totally sober. Then he asked how I would feel after having two beers at dinner.
In today’s day and age, there is really no reason to drink and drive with so many choices.

No way! I had TWO BEERS one time and then just a few minutes later did a complementary breathalyzer (at a fair) and blew .08. It’s nothing.
