Istanbul (CNN)ISIS claimed responsibility for the New Year's attack at Istanbul's Reina nightclub that left 39 people dead, but authorities are still scrambling to find the killer.
ISIS' claim, made in a statement posted to Twitter, cannot be independently verified by CNN. But it boasted about the first major terrorist attack of 2017.
"In continuation of the blessed operations which ISIS carries out against Turkey, a soldier of the brave caliphate attacked one of the most popular nightclubs while Christians were celebrating their holiday," the statement read.
Both Turkish and US officials have called the attack an act of terrorism.

McCain and Obama gave birth to these people. No one in the media will ask them any pertinent questions about this and why we are in Syria.
Thank goodness they cleared that up. I wasn't sure what to think until the "officials" spoke up.
Getting to the point where ISIS terrorists are afraid to die.

The German police got finger prints of the killer. It is only a matter of time before they catch him.
Also, after the attack, no cops showed up for a while.....only an ambulance and the ISIS guys got away.
Turkey’s Islamist leader didn’t seem to care about that.
But of course, the bar was full of visitors from other countries.
He’s probably being sheltered in the US by now.
Witnesses said he shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is Greatest).
“As soon as he entered the club, he started firing and he didn’t stop. He fired non-stop for 20 minutes at least,” said Younis Turk, a French citizen of Turkish origin. “And there was some kind of bombing as well. He threw some explosives,” he said.
Too early to tell, this may not be a terrorist attack, it could be a case of Russian hackers...
The holiday being celebrated by Orthodox Christians in Istanbul (properly, Constantinople; or even more properly, Byzantium, site of the now descrated Great Church Hagia Sophia) was the Feast of the Circumcision of Christ and St. Basil the Great.
Earlier that evening they had sung:
O Father Basil, thou namesake of the Kingdom,

TIMING AND LOCATION VERY DELIBERATE!
I bet he’s a Muslim.
Capture the killer. Execute him. Feed his remains to pigs. Video the process, including the conversion of his corpse into pig feces. Post to YouTube. Rinse. Repeat as necessary. End Islamic terrorism.

I’m sure that if these ISIS muslims know anything about St. Basil the Great, they hate him, too, since he was very strong against heresy!!!!
