We had some snow here, too on New Year’s Eve night and NY a.m. The trees - both pines and the various ones with bare branches had snow on them - looked like a winter wonderland! It didn’t stick to the road here and most of the sidewalks had melted. 29 here now - supposed to get to 34 today. Lows in the 20s and highs in the 30s all week. Brrr is right!

Good 2nd day of a winning new year morning.

Wind advisory in effect, 29 feels like 15, possible snow showers but definitely high wind gusts.

So slippery on our highway so son asked me to drive him to work, woke up hubby to take him.

Son had some hairy times in his Mustang on ice but now drives our old Dodge Stratus, much heavier vehicle, but still doesn’t trust himself to drive when ice is frozen on roads.

Was going to post some New Years day photo's yesterday but visited some friends and came home a bit tired.

Stoke up the fires, I think we are in for some extended cold/wet weather!!

High winds can be terrible, especially when it’s cold. We had heavy winds here not long ago.

I had a Mustang years ago in Denver - it was AWFUL in the snow. Just a little snow on the road and I’d fishtail. My old VW Bug was so much better - engine in the back. My Mustang had no back end and, as you said, was fairly light. I won’t drive in the snow here b/c of all the hills and there’s ice under the snow. Plus, too many idiot drivers from California that think just because they have a 4-wheel drive they can zip around - doesn’t work that way, instead of sliding on 2 wheels, one slides on 4 in ice.

Got some great news this a.m. One of my cousin’s daughters (she calls me aunt) got engaged last night! They’ve been going together for at least 4 years and he is a sweetheart - make a great couple and I’m so happy for them. I’m guessing the wedding will be next summer after she graduates from dental school. I’m ready for another wedding in the family :-)

Morning Granny, thanks for letting me know. I think our weather patterns are quite similar to yours and precede them by a short period of time. We too woke up to a couple of inches of snow on the ground New Years day.........

Great picture! Such a lovely family - can’t wait to see those kids and Ivanka’s kids in the WH (and their parents and grandparents, and other aunts and uncle, of course).

In looking at it, I was reminded of a tweet and picture from Don Jr over the last week or so (I think you or NIKK posted it) - it was something like happiness is getting 5 kids to look at the camera and smile all at the same time :-)

Morning SC, it is going to be a picture fest. The Trump family really wants to share their lives with the American public and use social media to do so.

For so many decades the MSM has held an iron clad fist over the control and dissemination of information available to the public. It is becoming more and more evident that they are losing this control.
