Many people have been wounded in an attack on a nightclub in Istanbul, Turkey's NTV reports. Footage appears to show a number of ambulances and police vehicles outside the Reina nightclub, in the Besiktas area of the city. NTV says two attackers were involved, with CNN Turk reported they were dressed in Santa costumes. Istanbul had been on high alert for any terror attacks, with some 17,000 police officers on duty in the city. There were reportedly several hundred people in the nightclub at the time.

New year’s Day is not an Islamic holiday, so they will attack on New Year’s Eve until people stop celebrating.

It looked like he was removing an outer jacket or covering. Perhaps that was some kind of Santa looking outfit. That would give him cover to go into the club (looks like a party guy, having fun in a Santa suit) then remove it and hope to get away? Very sad.

You got that right. There would be no negative side effects to society as a result. The country must get back to doing what's right for the citizens and the country.

The Istanbul attack followed close on Erdogan accusing Obama of funding and supporting ISIS.
