So true....like womens basketball, boring and (excuse the pun), bush league. There are boys high school teams that could beat any WNBA team.

The 100 ranked tennis player wouldn’t let Venice Williams win a set. But I will tell you this. I coached youth ice hockey for many years. My 13-14 year olds went up against a U18 girls team and the only rule we had to follow was no body contact. We got slaughtered. When we played them later in the season and they allowed contact, the girls team couldn’t get the puck over center ice.
When it comes to contact and strength, girls cannot compete with boys. That’s not sexist, just the way it is. You mention high school basketball and the WNBA. Let them have a foul shooting contest. I will wager that the WNBA team slaughters them.

I have frequent friendly arguments with a former coworker about women’s basketball. To me, it’s unwatchable. I’ve played pick-up basketball with two former Olympic women basketball players. They were very good at fundamentals like passing, setting picks and screens, etc., but they couldn’t consistently hit the 16 foot jumper. I know it’s also a lost art in the NBA as well, but it should be a bread-and-butter shot in the women’s game.
