House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., thinks the Obama administration was justified in retaliating Thursday against Russia with sanctions for interfering with U.S. institutions. But he said it shouldve been done long ago.
Far from a full-throated endorsement of Obamas actions, Ryans statement condemned the commander in chief for eight years of what he considers ineffective foreign policy that left the United States more vulnerable than it was when he took office in 2009. Nevertheless, Ryan agreed that Russia is a threat to global security.
Russia does not share Americas interests. In fact, it has consistently sought to undermine them, sowing dangerous instability around the world, Ryan said shortly after the White House announced the punishments. While todays action by the administration is overdue, it is an appropriate way to end eight years of failed policy with Russia. And it serves as a prime example of this administrations ineffective foreign policy that has left America weaker in the eyes of the world.

Just build the wall, Paul.
Go To Hell You Lyin’ RINO Ba$tard!
What an obsequious fool.
I can never figure out whose side Paul Ryan is on. I’m guessing he’s on Paul Ryan’s side. And I don’t like him being 2 heartbeats from the Presidency, because he’s more of a cypher than... anyone I can think of, really.
Next move: McCain calls for boots on the ground in Russia.
If it “should have been done a long time ago”, when did Ryan propose it?
(crickets)
I’m sure Ryan is getting input from McCain and many other of his colleagues with DOD contractor connections
Another total wanker.
We already know he’s an idiot, so this does not surprise me in the least.
Paul Ryan, someone who actually fears President Stompy Feet’s stompy feet.
He isn’t like a fine wine at all, Mr. Trump.
He’s more like a wet diaper.
Ryan the ratfaced globalist tool.
Paul Ryan is a globalist RINO establishment hack and a Democrat who’s only a Republican to be more effective against Republican conservatives.
“I can never figure out whose side Paul Ryan is on. Im guessing hes on Paul Ryans side.”
Absolutely! He thought back during the run up to the election that he could get himself “appointed” President. He and Ted Scruze should go get a room, because they are birds of a feather. Two people who’s personal goals and objectives transcend their political offices. We all need to thank President Trump profusely for outing all these feckless turds. He has done this country a great service just on that one issue alone. and he’s not yet even taken his office.
Yes, an idiot. But, why does he insist on removal of all doubt?
Ryan is the village idiot he still thinks he and mittens should have won
OK. All we know so far is that someone -- maybe Russia -- got John Podesta to fall for a phishing scam. As a result, they were able to access his email account and publish emails that embarrassed the Democrats. Is there more than that? Did Russians actually hack into a governmental election database or government accounts? Were they able to impact voting machines or tabulation? What is the evidence that it is even Russia? Given the track record of this administration on playing politics with things like this, I'm not going to take it on faith. Yet Ryan and everyone else simply blathers on as if its a given that Russia "hacked" the election and we need to create a diplomatic crisis over it.
His wife is a Donk and runs his politics. He’s PW.
Lyin’ Ryan the bought-and-paid-for-crypto-globalist and douche-canoe.
And a back stabber, or shooter, depending upon whether he is holding a knife or gun. Trust him at your own peril.
