No doubt the proper course of action would have been to not just hand the poor refugee all his money, credit cards and valuable family heirlooms, but also hand him his wife and daughters along with an apology for being so bigoted as to think he was being robbed rather than enriched by a new culture.

It’s a type of construction where you can see the wooden support beams on the outside. It was a very popular construction style in Germany, Britain, Scandinavia, etc. around the time of Shakespeare. You’ll see them all over the place in a historical city like Bamberg, Germany that survived the bombings during WWII. Hotel Roanoke in Virginia is built in the same style.
