Schools should be teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, etc. And not be liberal or conservative.

Here’s the same material in The Hill today:

Not likely it’s fakenews with both outlets reporting.

True. I've been told that security is one of the reasons presidential kids tend to go to Sidwell. The layout of the campus does provide considerable insulation from any intrusions launched from the street. There is only one classroom building even visible from Wisconsin Avenue, and it is on the other side of an elevated soccer field over a parking garage. It's a relatively easy site to seal and defend. That wasn't deliberate; the present upper school campus was formerly an end-of-the-trolley line farm once owned by the Sidwell's (husband and wife, and founders/proprietors of the school). It was deeded to the school after they died, and the campus was moved there later. The city subsequently grew up around it. Happy accidents, if you consider getting most of the presidential kids a "happy" thing.

There are other private schools that could be as defensible, but with the possible exception of Washington International, they are much farther out of town, with a longer commute. And Sidwell is academically excellent, so it's a win-win-win.

Friends of mine who lived in a DC military enclave tried to send their kids to a DC school. They were told that their kids had to lose their Sesame Street backpacks, as the local kids would feel underprivileged. They then understood why the enclave ran private transportation to private schools.

So sad. What is the per capita cost in DC to educate a child? Why are the DC children at risk? Why not use school vouchers for the kids in DC to have a choice?

The snottiness of DC elites is at a whole nother level. Such has never existed outside of Royal Courts under monarchies.

Grew up in DC. Back then it was a nice Southern town; a few remnants remain. Worst snottiness I ever encountered coast to coast was in Connecticut.

More like THIS. If New Jersey were like THAT -- well, the last time New Jersey had a conservative governor was 1944.

And he was a Democrat!

While the posh private schools’ handbooks and websites all preach “diversity” and “open-mindedness,” Conway said, “For some, there is a comfort in sameness.”

D.C. voted 4% for Trump, of which you can probably attribute 2% to voting errors [drunk, stoned, can't read, ...]. 2% is a standard human error rate on any repetitive task.

The place may not love Hillary - she only got 90% out of the 96% remaining - but they love their liberal ways.

Pence rented a house in my neighborhood. The neighbors are all flying rainbow flags and have signs saying "love trumps hate" or "I trust women" or some such idiocy.

There is no tolerance here. None.

They are all on the liberal do-good bureaucratic grift - doing well while doing not much at all, as Eric Trump put it.

Trump is a threat to their way of life and their financial well-being. They are the bottom suckers in the swamp.

Same story, same clickbait. The article in fact makes no assertion that this is happening. Just that it’s Kellyanne’s worry that it is happening.

Folks who don’t think this is happening need only remember ValJar and her WH monkeys, on Nov. 9, glaring defiantly with ‘let’s see you take it’ in their eyes. ValJar runs DC, you can believe every institution the Left has captured there is doing the same thing, salting the earth wherever possible.

She probably sent the zeros to HI so she could trash the transition without the ‘first’ family seen as abetting it.

Not at all, but I DID go to a prep school, and have an idea of what sensitivities they might have. As a home-schooling dad I am ALL FOR Kellyanne being vigilant about her children's education. I also know that a D.C. prep school may not like the complications and risks that may come with the deal.

"A classroom was created on the third floor of the WH for Caroline Kennedy With today’s computer material it would be relative easy to set up a multi-level classroom with one Tutor helping the Conway, Preibus and Trump crew. Field trips/ guest speakers / research projects would be much more enriching than anything they could receive in regular school."

Oh my... Call it "D.C. Liberty Academy"...

Start small, say it is so successful, we are thinking of moving it out of the WH to brick and mortar, and I ( DJT ) will donate "X" to get it going, and will save 20% of the slots to be given away for Free for anyone earning less than 70K. How many struggling parents from the DC area would apply? OMG, they would be overwhelmed with applications.

Now the money...Have Ivanka Run it.

I would buy stock in duct tape manufacturers as Progs duct tape their heads to keep them from exploding.

Talk about winning, this one would be beyond delicious....

>>Semper President Trump!<<

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

A great compliment from a Marine such as yourself.

All patriotic Americans are depending on our veterans—no matter their age—to step forward once again and serve their nation in this war to expel the globalist-leftist invasion.

Not that we need more incentive, but saving America (first!) is the only way to save Western, Christian Civilization which once covered most of the globe (100 years ago) but has been in retreat for decades.

America is the last stand.
