Not sure where in the constitution it authorizes the federal government to tax and borrow to provide cell phones to every parasite who wants one.

The NBC comment censor must be on vacation. Lots of comments on the article, and most of them are from realists, with a few lame, off-topic, irrational rants from the usual suspects.

The biggest obstacle for malls is that no store has enough shelf space for EVERYTHING, so after striking out a couple of times even the thickest person (like me) will gravitate to online shopping.

Yes and no.

These events are just the further fraying of civil behavior that undergirds our society. In other words we are witnessing the undoing of civilization right before our eyes.

The "urban youths" engage in this kind of behavior simply because they can and there is no punishment. There is no disapproval at home or in society at large. Because of this, unless society at large cracks down, this behavior will continue to spread and grow.

So, yes, they seemingly come out of nowhere, unless you are paying attention. And, no they don't come out of nowhere, they are organized through social media.
