Police are investigating a series of fights that broke out at Patrick Henry Mall on the day after Christmas.
Emergency crews were called to the mall just before 6:30 p.m. when a fight occurred in the food court. Officers called for assistance from other on-duty units due to the fight.
As those on-duty officers arrived, they found another disturbance in the parking lot, as well as a third incident happening again in the food court.

Yes, that is the common thread.
It appears there’s a other common thread.
We never go to the mall now.
Most of the mall fight videos I see are black on black; they go to the mall for fight club. Or maybe the local Chuck E Cheese closed. But they don’t have to attack the white shoppers to drive them away. Just living the thug life out in the open will do it.
This is the death of the mall as we know it. The large closed air mall will die because of the violence and there is an easy alternative of shopping on line. Individual stores not associated with malls will survive because they can control their clientele better, particularly a big box like Lowe’s, where they can afford security to run off the “teens” before they start congregating. Teens won’t be taking the bus to Lowe’s; tools sound like work, and work is for suckas.
I was stationed in VA Beach 20 years ago. Never understood why people liked it there. Too much traffic and really hostile to jet noise and the Navy in general. The locals seriously wanted the Navy to move all the jets, but keep all the people there.
Maybe after they make enough arrests they well get to know who instigated all this. It didn’t just start all by itself. The video shed a little light on it IMHO.

Yep. Detroit will be like that in another generation if allowed to continue.
No arrests. Pitiful. From all the reports of this happening around the country, not one feral spent a night in jail. The cops just gave this sort of thing their stamp of approval. It will continue to happened more and more and each will be more violent than the last.
I braved doing the regular monthly shopping on Christmas Eve. Walmart didn’t have anymore people than it would have on a Monday morning. It was rather boring.
I grew up in Hampton in the 1950s and 1960s, when the public schools and beach resorts were still largely segregated, but little else was. There was a large military presence, and blacks and whites worked together in the large private shipyard in Newport News and at NASA. The irony is that race relations in that area were better then than they apparently are now.
This experience was in 1999, I was attending meetings for the subcontractor kick-off for CVN-77 at the Newport News shipyard. (I wisht it was the CVN-76.) Newport News, near the shipyard was all black, but the local restaurants and retailers, near the shipyard, welcome one and all.
It is bad there.
