That is likely true. I remember, back when I still lived in the Cleveland, Ohio area. A new mall was built in Strongsville, Ohio. Nice place, like most new malls. But there was a huge fight with the regional transit authority (RTA) over whether or not there should be bus service at the mall. Locals did NOT want this because they knew that it would bring in the riff-raff. The county, of course, did want it because it wasn't fair to the "riff raff" to not have a mall to loot, having already ruined those closer to home.
The mall, as far as I know, is still there, but I believe that the leftards got their bus station too. Hopefully, the locals will win out over time but there's no telling.
