A New York county has announced that it is reversing its sanctuary policy only weeks before President-Elect Trump is set to be inaugurated.
Sheriff Vincent DeMarco announced that his county will no longer demand a judges order before detaining an illegal immigrant wanted by federal agents for deportation, a major move to distance the county from its ranks of being a sanctuary city, according to Newsday. The reversal is happening in short order before Trump is expected to take office and dismantle sanctuary city policies.
DeMarco states that this policy reversal came after careful legal analysis and had nothing to do with the incoming Trump administration and his Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who are likely to have legal battles with locals that fail to comply with federal immigration law.

Good to see communities are already starting to rethink their positions on sanctuary cities before Trump is even in office...hope this becomes a trend.

President Trump hasn’t even taken the Oath of Office, and he’s already more effective than the usurper has ever tried to be. Thank God we’ll finally have a real president again!

legal battles with locals that fail to comply with federal immigration law.BS, they wanted to avoid the US Marshals coming in to arrest the "locals" for harboring criminal invaders.

I’m surprised to see that Suffolk County has a sheriff.
I’m also surprised that with the concentration of Jews in this area that the county would allow discussion of musloids living among them, even if it is to clean their house.

I believe Suffolk County NY is one of the most populous counties in the country that voted for Trump. The population is 1.5 million.
Elections have consequences.
