I’m sure their Chinese and Korean comfort women - of which the japs have never admitted - would be glad to hear you say that that to them.

I can't prevent you from doubling down on "asinine." All I can do is draw attention to it.

If my spectacularly beautiful ethnic Chinese daughter isn't holding a grudge, why are you?

Looking through the comments ....

WHERE’S THE DAMN APOLOGY TO THE UNITED STATES?

Sneak attack murdering thousands of our people. Where’s the apology?

Instead, Obozo uses it to lecture Americans about treating people who look different. How about worshipers of the Emperor as god on earth (Shintoism) creating a clear and present danger to the stability of America and anyone practicing it being a threat?

Pathetic.

The MSM, of course, glosses over the fact there was no apology, when that’s the ONLY DAMN REASON such an event should have ever taken place.

They also, as one poster here already stated, don’t admit to the raping of Nanking or the other hundreds of thousands of war crimes they committed during the war (March to Bataan ring a bell)?

Trump’s right. Make all these ‘allies’ pay for their own defense.

If the Jap flag is still flying at the Arizona, would be yet another pissing on American history by the Usurper in Thief on the way out the door.

Trump can’t get in office soon enough.

>>Japan happens to be one of our best allies and we’re joined at the hip in both technology and commerce.<<

I have a hard time letting go of Pearl Harbor (I wasn’t born then but still...)

You would have a coronary during RIMPAC exercises. Japanese submarine and surface warships come streaming into the harbor. Their sailors proudly line the decks in white ubiforms.

I once saw a picture, maybe 10 years ago or so, of the JDS Haruna (DDH-141) being guided by an American tugboat into Pearl Harbor. And the irony struck me. There used to be another ship named Haruna, a battleship, and the Americans fought tooth and nail to keep her as far away from Pearl Harbor as possible. And now, here we are welcoming her successor with open arms. It really drove home to me the reality that the war is long over, and Japan is now one of our closest allies.

Their diesel-electric subs are very strange looking, angular above the surfaced water line, unlike our cylindrical shapes.

I wondered if they knew they were passing over the grave of one of their midget subs just before they entered the harbor channel.
