Don’t long haul flights have automatic defibrillators? I read there were nurses and maybe a doctor who gave her assistance. She probably had a better chance than if her attack occurred at home. Most likely this simply was an unsurvivable attack.

The survival rate for persons suffering a heart attack that occurs outside a hospital is less than six percent. The article also details the important distinction between a heart attack and cardiac arrest. An AED doesn’t fix the blockage that causes a heart attack.
